HUB ACCOUNT AND PIN CODE
Click here to view our virtual demonstration, or review below to find answers to the most common questions regarding AKC Reunite’s HUB and PIN Code.
PIN Codes are assigned to pet professionals, like veterinarians, shelters, rescues and breeders. A PIN Code is your unique Professional Identification Number that links you to:
- Your personal portal to quickly enroll pets’ microchips so they are immediately protected by our 24/7 recovery service.
- A tracking system for microchips that you have purchased and enrolled.
Your PIN Code login information should be considered confidential and should not be shared with others.
Go to your HUB account or call your Sales Consultant at 800-252-7894. AKC Reunite Sales Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm Eastern. If you forget your PIN Code, please do not create a new one. Call AKC Reunite at 800-252-7894 for assistance.
By enrolling your clients’ microchips with your PIN Code, you will be able to track which pets are enrolled and which pets are not. Enrollment is critical to successfully reunite lost pets with their owners.
Your PIN Code also gives you access to the Enrollment Rewards program, rewarding you for enrolling other brands of microchips with AKC Reunite while avoiding their annual fees for your clients.
You will still earn a point if you purchased the microchip directly from AKC Reunite and the standard enrollment fee is paid at time of enrollment. Unfortunately, you will not earn a point if a non-AKC Reunite microchip is enrolled without your PIN Code. To ensure you earn all your points, be sure to use the special PIN Code enrollment form provided to you, or enter your enrollments through the HUB.

A Primary Contact is the main contact listed on a pet’s enrollment. The Primary Contact has the ability to make updates to their information. Their information is used as verification by Shelters when a pet is owner-surrendered into a Shelter’s care.
Enrollment in AKC Reunite will help the safe return of your pet when they are found, but does not signify ownership.
Many organizations want to make sure the pets they adopt and sell do not end up in a shelter with the risk of being euthanized. These organizations choose to be the Primary Contact so they can be the pet’s lifeline should something happen to the pet’s owner. Your Sales Representative can set your HUB Account settings so you are locked as a Primary Contact.
If your organization chooses to be locked as a Primary Contact, you agree to clearly communicate in writing in your Adoption/Sale Contract that you will be listed as the Primary Contact on the pet’s microchip enrollment with AKC Reunite, and the adopter/buyer will be listed as the Alternate Contact.
An Alternate Contact is an additional point of contact on a pet’s enrollment. When an enrolled pet is found we will call, text, and email each Primary and Alternate Contact listed on the pet’s enrollment record. AKC Reunite recommends including at least one Alternate Contact that resides outside of the Primary Contact’s immediate area in case of a catastrophic event that may cause phone and internet outages in your immediate, affected area.
Many organizations want to be an extra safety net to help reunite a lost pet that was under their care at some point in time. Even if the pet is transferred to a new Primary Contact, the organization wants to remain as a guardian to help keep the pet out of harm’s way. Your Sales Representative can set your HUB Account settings so you are locked as an Alternate Contact.
