Maizey the Mastermind

A standard privacy fence did not provide effective containment for Maizey, the one-year-old mixed breed dog.

“Our Maizey is a rambunctious and acrobatic dog,” said Lyndie her owner. “I let her out to go potty and she heard kids playing in the distance and leapt over the fence and took off!”

Lyndie took off on foot in pursuit of her dashing dog, but Maizey was too quick and Lyndie lost sight of her. Thankfully, Maizey’s owner was well prepared and had her dog microchipped and enrolled with AKC Reunite, as well as having a personalized AKC Reunite collar tag affixed to her collar.

“Thank goodness for AKC Reunite,” said Lyndie. “Maizey had made it about a mile from our house when a Good Samaritan caught her and called the AKC Reunite number who [then connected her to] us.”
