Niko and Bailey

Best dog pals, Niko and Bailey, escaped through an unlocked gate after a mid-day check-in by their owner, Kay! Thankfully, with a personalized AKC Reunite collar tag and our 24/7 pet recovery service, the dynamic duo was reunited in no time.

“It was a crazy day; I ran home to check on Niko, and his adopted brother Bailey, and in my haste forgot to lock the gate in the back yard,” said Kay.

While Kay went back to work, Niko the nine-month-old German Shepherd, led his older brother Bailey, a mixed breed rescue dog, on a quest for adventure! With the help of a good Samaritan, and Niko’s AKC Reunite collar tag, they were reported found and Kay was contacted with the promising news!

“I returned to my office and 15 minutes later I got a text from AKC Reunite that my German Shepard had been found [with another dog] and they gave me the phone number to call,” said Kay. “I called the young lady that found Niko and Bailey and I was able to get them home unharmed and happy. I can’t thank AKC Reunite for the exceptional service in notifying me, getting the boys back to me, and the follow up they did to ensure that we did reunite. The boys and I will forever sing its praises!”
