Persistent Percy

Tougher than most sporting breeds, German Shorthaired Pointers are both intelligent and resilient. Just ask Janon, Percy’s owner, who discovered his dog had escaped after repeatedly pushing the screen door open!

Thankfully, Percy is microchipped, and it was only just a matter of time before he was found.

In less than 4 hours, Percy escaped, was picked up several miles from his home, was taken in to the local animal shelter, and was scanned for a microchip!

“Thank goodness we have Percy chipped,” said Janon. “The Animal Shelter called us ASAP after picking him up and we were reunited fast with our pup.”

We’re happy to report that Percy is back home from his little adventure thanks to his enrolled microchip with AKC Reunite!
