Sneaky Stuart
At only nine months old, Stuart, the Collie puppy, is still getting into plenty of mischief. Just ask Linda, Stuart’s owner, who discovered her dog had used his nose to unlatch the gate, but only after he’d already escaped!
Thankfully, Linda’s brother was leaving her house only a few minutes later and noticed Stuart up the street at a neighbor’s house. Linda didn’t even know he was missing!
“I had the AKC Reunite tag on Stuart,” said Linda. And my neighbor immediately called the 1-800 phone number. What an incredible relief… I only had that tag on and his city license! I frantically drove up the street [to get Stuart] with my seat belt hanging out the card door!”
Stuart is smart and watches Linda all the time. Apparently, he’d watched her enough times to figure out how the gate’s latch worked and how to unhook it, with his nose!
“I got a call from AKC Reunite to make sure he was home safe,” said Linda. That was so wonderful! Needless to say, we have a chain around the gate now!”
