Reunited in Florida
Look at this bundle of love! That is just what an Agility competition participant thought when they found this big guy loose in the parking lot at the AKC Eukanuba National Championship in Orlando last week. Luckily the AKC Reunite team was at the show to scan him and find his microchip.
We looked up his microchip ID on petmicrochiplookup.org – and lo and behold, he was protected by AKC Reunite! We learned his name is Jake and that he was from Maine! Jake was instantly comforted when we started calling him by his name. You should have seen his tail wag!
Immediately we started calling, emailing and texting his owner and her alternate contacts. Within minutes, Jake was back with his owner, who was visiting Orlando, and everyone around us was delighted to be a part of the happy reunion! Welcome home, Jake! #celebratedogs #petmicrochiplookup.org
Make sure your pet is registered and that your records are up to date! If Jake wasn’t protected, and his records kept current, this pet recovery probably wouldn’t have happened!
