Chip, Chip, Hooray For Beau!

Ryan from Oregon City, Oregon and his Labrador Retriever, Beau, are AKC Reunited thanks to Beau’s microchip!

Beau got out of the backyard after stormy weather blew open the back gate. Even worse, Beau was not wearing his collar so he had no visible pet identification to link him back to his owners.  As soon as he noticed Beau had escaped the safe confines of his backyard, Ryan reported his sweet pup lost and immediately began his search.  Beau was found up the road outside a nearby hospital and where he was quickly saved from oncoming traffic and taken to a nearby veterinary clinic to be scanned for a microchip. And it is a good thing they did, because Beau’s microchip helped save the day!

Ryan shares, “We got a call from a nurse at the hospital while we were canvasing our neighborhood that they had Beau and he was safe. I was able to immediately go and pick him up. His [microchip] made getting him back to us so much faster, and it’s worth every penny to get the chip.”
