Welcome Home, Bella Sue!
Bella Sue, the one-year-old German Shepherd Mix, decided to go sightseeing. Thanks to her microchip enrolled with AKC Reunite, Bella Sue’s journey ended after just a few short days!
Earlier this year, Bella Sue was adopted by a new family, and thank goodness her microchip was transferred into her new owner’s name! Bob had never had an animal chipped before, so this information wasn’t really a priority at the time. But without it, Bella Sue may have never been reunited!
“She came with detailed records, including records that she was microchipped,” said Bob, Bella’s owner. “When we got Bella Sue, I went to AKC Reunite and had all the information transferred into my name.”
After missing for a few days, Bob contacted animal control and found out that a dog matching Bella Sue’s description had just been picked up and dropped off at a local humane society. And after a quick scan of the microchip, the shelter verified the found dog was indeed Bella Sue! AKC Reunite was able to contact Bob and tell him the good news!
“It was the best money I’ve ever spent, and I want to personally thank AKC Reunite for their service,” said Bob. I encourage everyone to please have your pets’ microchipped. We are now reunited with Bella Sue!”
