Brave Biscuit

Oscar never thought he would see Biscuit his Belgian Malinois ever again after she was stolen from his yard. But with the help of a microchip and AKC Reunite, Biscuit’s reunion came to fruition!

“Two years ago, I woke up to find someone had stolen Biscuit right out of my yard, gate still unlatched and wide open,” said Oscar. “Devastated, I looked and looked [everywhere for her, but] along the way I began to lose hope.”

Two years later, Oscar’s mother saw a social media post of a lost dog that looked like an overgrown Biscuit and notified her son. Oscar messaged the dog’s finder, hopeful that this shaggy dog was in fact Biscuit.

“I messaged the lady that had the social media post up but didn’t hear any word back,” said Oscar. “As I was driving home, I got a text from a random number and it said, ‘Your dog Biscuit has been found and her chip has been scanned.’ It had her name, date of birth, and all. I shouted to the top of my lungs — my Biscuit is finally coming home!”

Then, Oscar was notified by PetSmart that Biscuit had been taken there by the Good Samaritan from the social media post! There, they scanned for a microchip and Biscuit’s was detected!

“I rushed home and picked up my family [on the way to PetSmart],” Oscar explained. “The second I got there, and I saw her, I did my old whistle and those pointy ears stood up so tall. She remembered me and ran into my arms. She walked up to my wife and smelled her stomach because she was pregnant when Biscuit was stolen. My daughter now one and a half, got out and lit up like a Christmas tree. Now I can’t even separate my daughter from Biscuit!”
