Dodger Dodges the Storm

REUNITED: In a few hours

Mother Nature can cause the craziest happenings. Even when you take every precaution to keep your pet safely contained, 40 mile per hour winds can be no match for a securely fenced yard. Jo Ann, Dodger’s owner recounts Dodger’s happy AKC Reunite reunion after slipping through her wind-damaged fence:

“Southern California had a big rainstorm, and the wind was fierce – 40 mph. The fences in my backyard were knocked askew. They opened up just enough for Dodger to get out. And out he went, through to my neighbor’s backyard then into the neighborhood through my neighbor’s windblown front fence. However, one of my neighbors found him, managed to corral him into her home and called the number for AKC Reunite. I immediately got a text with her number and was able to pick up Dodger right away. Great ending to what could have been a nightmare. I lost one Russell Terrier years ago and he did not have AKC Reunite and I never found him again. [I] totally believe in this registration system. Thank you!”
