Jet Takes Flight!

It may be his name, but Jet doesn’t normally like to take off, that is until one day when he decided to pilot his own adventure.

Jet and his sister Shadow were playing in their fenced-in backyard when something must’ve intrigued Jet on the other side of the wrought iron fence — enough so, that he decided to “jet off.” His owner Cheryl was out of the house when she received a distressing phone call from her husband, in hysterics, saying that Jet was gone. Shadow was still accounted for and in the backyard basking in the sun without a care in the world, but Jet was nowhere to be found.

Panic-stricken, Cheryl sped home to help search for Jet when her phone pinged with a message from AKC Reunite, alerting her that Jet had been found!

“You cannot imagine my relief and surprise at how quickly AKC Reunite stepped in to help ease a fur-mommas heart.” said Cheryl.

Apparently, Jet had wandered a few townhouses down and a Good Samaritan, Katherine, could see that he was visibly shaken up from being so far off course! Katherine carefully approached him and whisked him away to a local Banfield Pet Hospital to see if he was microchipped — and thankfully he was!

“Thank God there are still decent people in this world and thank God for AKC Reunite who notified me and equipped me with the phone number so that I could get my precious boy back. I cannot thank Katherine, Banfield, and especially AKC Reunite for our happy reunion. You guys are the best!”
