Lina the German Shepherd

Eager to begin puppy training, Lina, the three-month-old German Shepherd went to her first obedience class. Unfortunately, the larger dogs scared the training right out of Lina, and she darted — leaving the leash and collar still in her owner Marika’s hands!

In the chaos of Lina’s departure, the obedience class was canceled, and every person present went out to help Marika search for her precious dog. But darkness quickly fell, and the class was forced to retire their search until daylight. Marika resorted to reporting Lina lost to AKC Reunite and on social media.

Thankfully, at 5:30 a.m., Marika received the good news from her dog-trainer — Lina was found by a nice couple, only a block away from where the class was held the night before, and they took to get her chip scanned!

“I was so happy,” said Marika. “In fact [it was] the happiest day of my life. I felt like I won millions, millions, millions of dollars in the lottery that’s how much my little Lina is worth to me. No money can replace her. Thank you form the bottom of my heart to the wonderful service AKC Reunite provides for lost pets!”
