Murphy’s Wildlife Retreat
REUNITED: In a few minutes
Murphy decided to wander off and explore in the woods behind his home. His normal behavior is to stay close to home, but one day, the year old Doodle decided to change course.
When Ed, Murphy’s owner, discovered his beloved pup was nowhere to be found, he embarked on a 20 minute search through the woods. His search ended in relief when he received a text from AKC Reunite with the best news! Murphy had been found! Within 15 minutes of receiving the text, Ed and Murphy were reunited at a neighbor’s home. Welcome home, Murphy!
Murphy’s story is an important reminder that pets can be unpredictable, especially when they find compromised yard enclosures or are tempted by wildlife and natural instincts and urges. Take a moment to walk the perimeter of your fencing and check your gate latches. Keeping a legible collar tag and your information updated with AKC Reunite is your pet’s safety net if they do go missing.
