You can add unlimited Pet Poison Helpline treatment advice to your pet’s enrollment for a one-time charge of only $15 (normally $85 per incident).

Our Lost Pet Alert is a service that complements your pet’s microchip enrollment by broadcasting your lost pet’s information to a participating network of shelters, rescues, veterinarians and pet lovers in your immediate area. It also includes a Lost Pet Poster pdf that may be printed for distribution in your area. Click here for more information.

How do I activate the Lost Pet Alert?2022-04-29T12:01:04-04:00

If your pet goes missing, call our 24/7 Reuniters Helpline at 800-252-7894 and we will activate this additional service for a one-time fee. Once your pet’s picture is received, we will send out the email broadcast to Reuniters Network participants located in the area your pet was last seen so they can be on the lookout for your lost pet.

Pet Poison Helpline experts will do a quick consultation to assess your pet’s situation and then walk you through recommended steps to treat your pet. Pet Poison Helpline is also available to discuss the case and course of treatment with your veterinarian. Staffed with in-house veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and other professional toxicology experts, Pet Poison Helpline can help ensure your pet gets the treatment advice it needs — fast.

After adding this life-saving service to your pet’s AKC Reunite enrollment, call AKC Reunite at 800-252-7894 with your pet’s microchip, collar tag or AKC Registration identification number. We will confirm your pet’s lifetime subscription with Pet Poison Helpline and transfer you to speak with a live toxicology expert.

  • The Reuniters Network is a nationwide network of shelters, rescues, veterinarians, and pet lovers who receive email notifications when a pet goes missing in their immediate area. The email will include a description and photo of the lost pet and AKC Reunite’s 24/7 Reuniters Helpline contact information.
