Brave Bella

Bella the Chihuahua isn’t afraid of anything! Thankfully, with her microchip enrolled with AKC Reunite, her owner Sheila didn’t have to be either.

“I rescued Bella from the pound back in October,” said Sheila. “Part of the adoption fee included her being microchipped and given a dog tag from AKC Reunite with her chip registration number on it,” and thank goodness it did!

Unbeknownst to Sheila, Bella had somehow escaped out of her yard and was on the run — that is until AKC Reunite contacted Sheila as well as her Mom, who is an Alternate Contact on Bella’s microchip enrollment. “I received a text from AKC Reunite that Bella had been found,” said Sheila. “As I was reading it my Mom came in and she too had received a phone call.”

With the help of Bella’s AKC Reunite microchip and collar tag, she was back home in no time. “Thank goodness Ms. June, the good Samaritan, was a dog lover and immediately called the AKC Reunite number on Bella’s collar tag,” said Sheila. “We are so thankful for AKC Reunite and Ms. June!”
