Chief the Courageous Corgi

Don’t let his small stature fool you…Chief, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, can cause quite a bit of fuss, especially when he decided to run away!

One day, while Chief’s owner Teresa was out of the house, Chief decided he wanted a day out on the town himself. His kennel was accidentally left unlocked and he was able to escape while no one was home!

Unfortunately, Chief didn’t have his collar on so he couldn’t immediately be identified, but thanks to a kind stranger, Chief was taken to an animal care facility to get scanned for a microchip. Within an hour, Teresa received the good news from AKC Reunite, Chief had been found, safe and unharmed!

“[The kind stranger even] brought him back home,” said Teresa. “AKC Reunite even called and checked on us and Chief, which was really nice!”
