Cavi the Cavachon

While on an evening stroll, Cavi somehow got off his leash and escaped leaving his owner behind! It is a good thing the dog was protected with a microchip enrolled to AKC Reunite so he could be reunited with his family.

“Cavi got off the leash while I was walking him and the baby,” said Rosalind, Cavi’s owner. “Because I was carrying the baby, I could not run after Cavi!” Thankfully, a good Samaritan soon found the wandering pup and took him to a veterinary clinic to be scanned for a microchip. The clinic detected Cavi’s chip and with the help of AKC Reunite, he was reunited with Rosalind a day later!

“A very nice gentleman found Cavi, took him to the vet to verify his microchip number, then AKC Reunite was called,” said Rosalind. “Then this gentleman took Cavi home, fed him and let him play with his chocolate lab while waiting on a phone call from us….We were so excited that Cavi was safe, had made friends and spent the night in a wonderful home. Thank you for taking care of our Cavi!”
