Disappearing Daisy!
REUNITED: In 2 hours
While taking out the trash one morning, Daisy the Cocker Spaniel darted out of the back gate while her owner’s hands were full with garbage! Thankfully Daisy was located and reunited the same morning with a good Samaritan’s help and AKC Reunite!
“She ran too fast to keep up with,” recalled Daniel, Daisy’s owner. “We searched for hours looking down every street and highway with the hopes that she would be down there but she wasn’t. I eventually went home and hoped that microchip would come into play — and much to my surprise, it did!”
A good Samaritan found and corralled the wandering pup. Daisy was then taken to a nearby Veterinary Medical Center where Daisy’s microchip was scanned and AKC Reunite was notified. From there, we could provide the staff with Daniel’s information to kickstart his reunion with Daisy!
“As soon as I went home from searching, I received a phone call that she had been found and brought to a 24-hour pet medical center nearby,” said Daniel. “She was only missing for about two hours but it felt like a lifetime!”
“This is my first experience with AKC Reunite as this is first dog I’ve had who has a microchip. If it wasn’t for the kind Samaritan, as well as the microchip, I may never have been reunited!”
