Duke’s AKC Reunited
REUNITED: In two weeks!
Late one evening, Duke the American Bully rescue dog disappeared without a trace. Thanks to a microchip enrolled with Duke’s pet owner’s information and a microchip scan, Duke could be safely reunited!
Once Duke’s owner Julio realized Duke was missing, a search immediately began. But, when that did not produce any results, Julio reported Duke as lost with AKC Reunite. Two whole weeks later, Julio got some very good news — Duke had been found!
“My dog Duke was missing for over two weeks before I received the scan notification at a nearby Banfield Pet Hospital,” said Julio. “ I’m so glad that he had a microchip and that I enrolled it with my contact info [to AKC Reunite]… If It wasn’t for that and the vet doing the right thing by calling me, I might not have been reunited with my pup.”
It turns out that before the veterinarian could intervene, the person who brought Duke into be scanned took-off once he realized Duke was a missing pet! “I’m just happy that the microchip scan alerted me and (that) the good people of Banfield did the right thing!”
