Jetting Jet!
REUNITED: In 6 hours
Visiting the dog park seemed like a great idea — until Jet the Beagle escaped from it leaving his owner behind! More than 6 hours later, Jet was reunited thanks to his microchip enrolled to AKC Reunite.
“My beagle Jet escaped from the dog park one night around 6:15 p.m.,” said Dominique, Jet’s owner. “His nose always gets him in trouble and next to the dog park is a big wooded field and off he went. I looked for him until 9:30 p.m. It became too dark for me to stay out, so I went home thinking I have lost my dog, afraid he would get hurt.”
Heartbroken, Dominique stayed up planning where she would start searching again in the morning at first light. Then, she received the call of a lifetime just after midnight — Jet had been found!
“At 12:30 a.m. I received a call from AKC Reunite telling me the police found my dog,” said Dominique. “I was so happy and so was Jet… Every pet owner needs to have their animal chipped, even if you think your pet will never get lost trust me it can happen. Jet is back home because of his microchip. Thank you so much AKC Reunite!”
