Lincoln’s Long-Awaited Reunion!

In August of 2020, Lincoln the European Golden Retriever somehow escaped from his fenced-in yard. Five months later, he was safely reunited thanks to his microchip enrolled to AKC Reunite!

“Lincoln is very popular,” said Nathan, Lincoln’s owner. “Everybody loves him. [Unfortunately] Lincoln got out of his fence in August 2020 and never returned.”

Nathan’s family looked everywhere for him. They posted to social media, notified the neighbors and friends, and alerted AKC Reunite, but to no avail — Lincoln had simply disappeared.

Thankfully, after five long months of waiting and searching, Nathan received the good news — Lincoln had been found by a good Samaritan! The kind stranger assumed Lincoln was a stray and took him in to a local veterinary clinic. There, the clinic scanned his microchip and notified us that they had Lincoln!

“I received a call from AKC Reunite that he had been found and was at our local vet,” said Nathan. “We are very excited, thrilled and emotional of his return… we are very thankful for the kind soul that brought him to the vet to be scanned which led him back home to us. AKC Reunite was very prompt, and professional. We are forever grateful!”
