Ruby the Runner!
REUNITED: In 10 minutes
While Ruby the Poodle was outside for a bathroom break, she took off when her owner was not looking! With the help of AKC Reunite and a good Samaritan, Ruby was reunited minutes after she escaped!
“My wife left for an errand and forgot Ruby was in the yard using the bathroom,” recalled Mark, Ruby’s owner. “Ruby then wandered out in front of a neighbor’s house and the neighbor saw her!”
Thanks to the neighbor’s quick thinking, he immediately contacted AKC Reunite’s 1-800 number on Ruby’s collar tag! From there, our Reuniters Helpline called, texted, and emailed Mark so he could find out Ruby’s whereabouts and contact her finder. Soon after, the good Samaritan walked Ruby a few doors down the street so she could be safely returned to her home less than 10 minutes after she escaped!
