Sneaky Sir Winston

REUNITED: In a few hours

When a door was accidentally left ajar, Sir Winston the Terrier escaped! Thankfully, a good Samaritan found the wandering canine and contacted AKC Reunite!

“Sir Winston went missing between noon and 1 p.m., when the front door had not closed all the way,” recalled Angela, Sir Winston’s owner. “He and my daughter’s dog got out together but when my daughter went out the door around 1 p.m., her dog was on the porch,” while Sir Winston was nowhere to be found.

After searching within the home for an hour, Angela and a friend began searching on foot and by car in the surrounding areas, going door to door, hoping to locate her wandering canine!

“That evening while I was at the movies, I kept getting a call from 1-800 number,” said Angela. “I was in the movie though and could not answer. But then I saw the text from AKC Reunite that a lady had found him, and I bolted out to the lobby and called her. She said she found him walking along a street where we often take our walks!”

“My daughter went and picked him up for me. I am so thankful for the kind people who found him. Thankful for AKC Reunite that helped with this process!”
