Sneaky Scarlet!
REUNITED: In 20 minutes
While Scarlet the Siberian Husky was using the bathroom, she disappeared without anyone knowing! Thankfully minutes after discovering her escape, she was reported found thanks to her microchip enrolled with AKC Reunite!
“She was in the backyard using the potty, but I wasn’t home and my little sister was taking care of her,” recalled Dora, Scarlet’s owner. “However, when she went to check on Scarlet in the yard, she had disappeared!”
Apparently, there was a hole in the backyard fence, and Scarlet slipped right out of the safe confines of her backyard. Luckily, she was quickly spotted by a good Samaritan and taken to clinic to have her microchip scanned! From there, the veterinarian contacted AKC Reunite so Dora could receive the good news her dog was safe.
“Luckily, she didn’t get hit by any cars while running before someone grabbed her and took her to the [Houston Animal Hospital] to check for a microchip,” said Dora. “The AKC Reunite microchip gave them my information and that’s knew where she was reported safe and found within 20 minutes!”
