Stytch’s Microchip Scan
REUNITED: In 4 hours
After wind gusts blew open a fence gate, Stytch the French Bulldog escaped the safety of his yard along with his canine brother. While one pet returned home, Stytch was going to need the help of a microchip scan to find his way back to his family!
“My baby boy is a one-year-old French bulldog that got out when a recent storm blew our fence gate open,” recalled Irene, Stytch’s owner. “He followed his Older Miniature Pinscher out the gate and they ran free! Unfortunately, Stytch has allergies and wasn’t wearing his collar or collar tags!”
The Miniature Pinscher returned home on his own. But even with Irene’s repeated searches, Stytch was nowhere to be found. Thankfully, his microchip enrollment information was up-to-date so when he was found, and AKC Reunite was contacted, we could immediately notify Irene!
“Thankfully a good Samaritan saw Stytch dodging cars and immediately took him to the nearest animal hospital to get his microchip scanned,” said Irene. “My scared baby boy was back home after a grueling four hours — thanks to a good neighbor and his AKC Reunite microchip!”
“Thank you so much! His story needs to be shared to highlight the importance of registering your pets’ microchip and updating records frequently!”
